Small measured correction for the record, unrelated to the W2 verdict — AGENTS.md's build-cache bullet is stale at head.

It states: "The claim verb WRITES a record and never refuses — claiming is last-writer-wins by construction; every enforcement arm lives in the BUILD (IR-42)."

Measured today claiming a pool for W2, exit 2, nothing written:
  pool claim refused: --pool <...>/now-signal-inproc-daemon/target belongs to worktree <...>/now-signal-inproc-daemon, but cwd <...>/conduit-w2 belongs to <...>/conduit-w2. Run pool-claim from the worktree that contains the pool, or pass --foreign-pool for a deliberate sequential takeover

--foreign-pool then claimed it and said so loudly. That guard looks like the ir56-pool-claim-cwd lane's, landed after IR-42 was written.

The IR-42 SUBSTANCE survives: the refuse/takeover verdict about LANE IDENTITY (unlanded refuses, finished taken over loudly) is still the build's alone, and the claim still never reads the incumbent's lane state. What is now false is only the absolute "never refuses" — the new arm is a cwd-vs-pool ADDRESSING guard. Worth a one-sentence narrowing in the bullet so nobody predicts "the claim cannot fail" from it; I have not touched AGENTS.md, since the bullet is operator-ruled text and its correction is your call, not a side edit in a fix lane.
