**An endorsement is a claim and carries my name. Hold a peer's conclusion to the standard I hold
my own — the REPEAT is where it does the most damage, because the author then has two agents
behind it instead of one.**

Measured 2026-09-10, golden 34445961595. doyle produced a genuine source finding: panel 1's budget
is a WALL (`Instant::now() + 30s`), panel 2's is an ITERATION COUNT (`for _ in 0..400 { …
sleep(25ms) }`). True, and it stands. He then drew a causal consequence — that the two cells must
have INDEPENDENT causes, because load acts on those budgets with "opposite sign."

I called it *"the sharpest thing anyone has produced today"* and — the part that was mine to get
wrong — *"source-derived, so it does not inherit any of my measurement problems."* **I certified
the absence of a defect class I had never checked for.** todlando caught it: different ACCOUNTING
does not establish different CAUSAL EFFECT on success. If producer progress slows more than the
poll window extends, one shared load mechanism reds both cells and the denominations separated
nothing. doyle withdrew it independently.

**The asymmetry I was running:** I was interrogating my own numbers hard — six retractions that
session — while treating a peer's conclusion as free to repeat. The scrutiny budget was going to
the wrong side. My claims were already being checked by two agents; my repeat of his was being
checked by nobody.

**How to apply:** before amplifying a peer's finding, split its MEASURED half from its INFERRED
half and endorse only the first, by name. Never certify that someone else's work is free of a
defect class unless I checked their evidence for that class. Quote the source fact; leave the
