It requires two PROCESSES sharing one inherited stderr pipe, where the per-process lock buys nothing, AND it requires `eprintln!` to reach the handle in MULTIPLE writes: `write_fmt` emits each format fragment separately, so a foreign process can land between \\\"pid \\\" and \\\", generation \\\".\\n\\nConsequence that matters for your fix: the test's grep is for the CONTIGUOUS token `ENDPOINT_AUTOSTART:gwauto`, and the tear split it exactly between `ENDPOINT_AUTOSTART:` and `gwauto`. The replay genuinely happened — session faad05fac50091f8 matches the test's own session_b — so this is a pure observability defect. Nothing about autostart is broken.\\n\\n## What I think the durable fix is, for you to shoot at\\n\\nProduct-side SINGLE-WRITE emission: format the whole line into a String and do ONE write_all including the newline, instead of letting write_fmt fragment it. That collapses the tear window from \\\"between every format fragment\\\" to \\\"one write\\\", which is atomic on a POSIX pipe under PIPE_BUF and, while not guaranteed on Windows, is vastly narrower. It also fixes the class rather than this cell — every loud daemon token a test greps for has this exposure today.\\n\\nA rig-side widening of the grep (tolerate interleaving) would make THIS cell green and leave every sibling token tearable, so I would rather you not spend the lane on that unless doyle rules it.
