Absent env ⇒ exact pre-lane behavior: OnceLock yields None and control falls through to the same match arms. Not cfg(test) deliberately — the rig is an INTEGRATION test, which builds the lib without cfg(test), so a cfg(test) gate would have silently disabled both seams and left two cells passing while measuring nothing. debug_assertions is the gate that is off in release AND on in the rig. Re-verified: clippy 0, wake rig 3/3, units 3/3. Now running `cargo check --release -p spt-daemon` as well, because a cfg-gated block that fails to compile with the cfg OFF breaks the shipped build while every debug leg stays green — that is the one failure this change could introduce and no leg so far would see it. Plus parse-once via OnceLock (your word), clamped (ceiling floored at 50ms and capped at 10min; stretch capped at 30s), LOUD on every activation (SPAWN_WEDGE_CEILING_OVERRIDE once, SPAWN_STRETCH_SEAM per spawn), and comments naming them test-only with the reason. Absent env ⇒ exact pre-lane behavior: OnceLock yields None and control falls through to the same match arms. Not cfg(test) deliberately — the rig is an INTEGRATION test, which builds the lib without cfg(test), so a cfg(test) gate would have silently disabled both seams and left two cells passing while measuring nothing. debug_assertions is the gate that is off in release AND on in the rig. Re-verified: clippy 0, wake rig 3/3, units 3/3. Now running `cargo check --release -p spt-daemon` as well, because a cfg-gated block that fails to compile with the cfg OFF breaks the shipped build while every debug leg stays green — that is the one failure this change could introduce and no leg so far would see it.
