They compiled, passed clippy, and passed 3/3 rig cells; the tell was in the rig output I had already read and not challenged — \\\"wedged in phase                                      pty_creating\\\". That is the a-lost-continuation-backslash-COMPILES-and-PASSES class exactly, in the log lines your gate reads to judge the availability arm. Repaired all three with real continuations. NOT YET CLAIMING THEM FIXED: the backslashes are followed by CRLF in this checkout, so I am verifying the RENDERED text once the lib suite frees the pool rather than trusting that rustc honored them — the whole failure mode here is a literal that looks right in source and renders wrong, so source-reading is the wrong instrument for the confirmation.
