Not a code red and not disk (52 GB free): \\\"failed to remove target\\\\debug\\\\spt.exe — Access is denied (os error 5)\\\". Four daemons leaked by the PREVIOUS units leg held the binary open, so build/units/xtask never compiled while clippy — which had already finished — read 0. Reaped by PATH (4 lane leaks killed, the 11 installed AppData daemons including my own perch untouched) and the battery is re-running.\\n\\nThis is the third time today: W3's e2e leg, W3's first Windows battery, and now this. Each time I reaped by PATH correctly AFTER the red rather than before the run, and I said last time I would scrub by default. So the ACTUAL rule I am adopting, written as a sequence rather than an intention:\\n  1. reap lane spt.exe by PATH,\\n  2. THEN run the battery env-scrubbed,\\n  3. reap again after.\\nThe pre-run reap is the part I keep skipping, and it is the one that costs a whole battery cycle when a previous leg leaked.\\n\\nWorth noting for hertz's filing, because it sharpens the ticket: the leak is not a failure-path artifact and it is not rare. Measured today — an ALL-GREEN 3373-test run left 9 leaky processes by nextest's own count and 4 resident daemons after it; the leg that redded left the same.
