WIA Driver Information Tool

SUMMARY

The Wiainfo2.exe application allows developers to view and edit WIA device driver properties by letting the developer navigate through the WIA item tree and create and delete WIA application items.

The application can also perform data transfers using the new stream-based transfers.

To Run Wiainfo2:

1. From the Select a WIA Device dialog box, select the device you want to work with. To open a different device in Wiainfo2 later, from the File menu, select Close WIA Device, and then select Open WIA Device.
2. Wiainfo2 will show all WIA properties for your device. To change a property value for a read/write property, double-click the property name.
3. To navigate to another WIA item, expand the WIA item tree.
4. You can create new WIA application items under a given WIA item by right-clicking the item and selecting Create WIA Item from the Context menu. Similarly, you can delete an item by right-clicking it and selecting Delete WIA Item from the Context menu.
5. To transfer image data, go to the item for which you want to acquire the image, right-click the item, and then select WIA Acquire from the menu.
